Registration for Fall Soccer is Now Open!
by posted 07/09/2020

Registration is now open for Fall 2020 Recreation Soccer and Fall 2020 TOPSoccer.

Registration for the 2020/2021 8U Technical Development Program remains open.

The registration deadline for all three programs is July 31, 2020.

Information on each program and how to register is below. We are working on COVID-19 protocols based on the applicable guidance from local and state health authorities and New Jersey Youth Soccer. As the situation evolves, we will share that information prior to the start of the fall season.

Recreation Soccer

Registration for Recreation soccer is by grade. All players who will be in Grades K-8 in 2020/21 are welcome to register. Instructions for registration are HERE.

The registration deadline for Recreation Soccer is July 31, 2020. Please note that due to the fast-changing COVID-19 situation we are not charging a fee at sign-up. As we get closer to the start of the season, we will email to let you know that we are going to now add the fee to your account.  The fees for Recreation Soccer can be found HERE.

When registering for Recreation Soccer please consider signing up as a parent coach.

  • More parent coaches = smaller teams and a better overall experience for the players
  • Professional trainers run the weekday practices – there is no weekday commitment for parent coaches.
  • Coordination including emails and logistical details are handled by the Club. You just need to show up on nine Saturdays.
  • There are some requirements to coach – details are HERE

Travel Soccer and our 8U TDP are run by birth year not grade). Instructions for registration are HERE. The registration deadline for the 8U TDP is July 31, 2020.

TOPSoccer

The Chatham United TOPSoccer program is for Chatham players with special needs aged 5-15 years old (birth date falling between October 1, 2005 and September 30, 2015). The emphasis of this program is on development, training, and meaningful participation rather than competition. TOPSoccer was formed to perpetuate the US Youth Soccer mission statement, which is, “to foster physical, mental, and emotional growth and development through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition.” Our goal is to enable our young athletes to develop their physical fitness, technical skills, courage and self-esteem, through the joy and excitement of playing soccer.

TOPSoccer is designed to give everyone a chance to play soccer, while providing the experience of working together as a team, achieving individual goals, and, most of all, HAVING FUN!

Game Details

All TOPSoccer games will be held once a week on Saturdays for 45 minutes. Each session will include a 30-minute practice followed by a 15-minute game. The season will run for 6 weeks starting in September 2020 with specific times to be determined.

TOPSoccer Buddies

Each player will have a TOPSoccer Buddy assigned to provide 1:1 guidance and assistance with practice activities and games. TOPSoccer Buddies will consist primarily of high school-aged students who are willing to commit to the scheduled 6-week season. If you are interested in becoming a buddy, please send us an email at  . There will be a one-day training program scheduled over the summer that all Buddies will have to attend in order to volunteer.

Fees & Registration

Registration fee is $50 per player to cover the cost of uniforms, end of season awards, and end of season celebration. Instructions for registration are HERE. Please note that due to the fast-changing COVID-19 situation we are not charging a fee at sign-up. As we get closer to the start of the season, we will email to let you know that we are going to now add the fee to your account.

Travel Soccer Teams 2020-2021
by posted 06/26/2020

We are in the process of releasing our 2020-2021 Travel Soccer Teams. This process may take some additional time this year as team releases are staggered (due to changes to our process communicated in emails to our member in May and June). The entire process should be complete and everyone notified by the week of July 6th.

During July we will also be opening uniform ordering (expected July 6th) and registration (for carding) with New Jersey Youth Soccer. Once we have complete details we will provide those to our members via email.

We look forward to starting the season in late summer!
