Chatham United Recreation Soccer Program
The Chatham United Recreation Soccer program has been successful in its current format and CU intends on continuing the success with oversight similar to the previous year’s program.
The Chatham United Recreation Soccer program will be managed by Chatham United and United Soccer Academy (USA). USA Soccer has a long history of working with the town and Chatham United.
The Recreation program is open to residents of Chatham Township, Chatham Borough and the Chatham end of Green Village entering Kindergarten through 8th grade in fall 2022.
Registration will begin on the Chatham United website in June and run through July 31. Participants will be provided with a team pinnie.
The Chatham United Recreation Soccer program will begin on Saturday September 10, 2022 and conclude on Saturday November 5, 2022. Dates are subject to change.
All Grades will receive 1 session (60-min) per week from September 10th through November 5th (9-weeks). This consists of USA trainers and parent coaches presenting a targeted technical curriculum, along with small sided games:
- 4v4 for Kindergarten and 1st Grade
- 5v5 - 7v7 for 2nd Grade depending on numbers
- 7v7-9v9 for 3rd-5th Grade depending on numbers
- 11v11 for 7th & 8th Grade
Sessions will be on Saturday for Kindergarten through 4th Grade (generally between 9am and 3pm). For 5th-8th Grade, sessions will be on Tuesday evenings ~ 6:30pm-7:30pm or 7:30-8:30pm. For 5th-8th grade there will no parent coaches - only professional trainers from USA will run these sessions.
